TAW would like to congratulate Sonam Tsedzom, who has been recently selected to be part of a popular local musical program sponsored by the Seattle Theater group.  We are extremely proud of her accomplishment and would like to encourage community members to attend the event (see below). Congratulations to Yeshi and Ngawang for doing so well in their ice skating competitions! Yeshi came in 2nd place in free skating in the 2012 Blades on Ice at the Highland Ice Arena and Ngawang got the gold medal at the 2012 Ice Fest Competition in Olympia.  Attached is a photo of Ngawang at the award ceremony.  Way to go!!! Hundreds of 1st - 5th grade students entered the Seattle Aquarium’s annual “Your Ocean - Our Home” Art Contest. This year the contest featured rockfish - a vibrant and diverse family of fish composed of 32 different species in the Puget Sound. In celebrating the rockfish, we are all celebrating our very own Puget Sound.

2010 Tibetan Association of Washington Scholarship Winner

Award Ceremony

The Tibetan Association of Washington (TAW), is pleased to announce the winner of this year’s 2010 TAW Scholarship Award. TAW strongly believes in the value of good education and this annual scholarship was established to help students achieve that goal.  Any college bound high school senior from the local Tibetan community graduating from a high school within the State of Washington is eligible.
