Unrest in Tibet: Local Protest - 2008

Local Tibetans and friends of Tibet gathered to protest in solidarity and internationally against the brutal crackdown in Tibet. It was one of the largest protest since the illegal occupation of Tibet in 1959. The massive unrest that started in Lhasa on March 2008 and then sparked protest throughout the Tibetan plateau in sign of unity and deep sense of dissatisfaction under the Communist regime. Number of Tibetans have been executed in closed trail without any legal rights and still to this date hundreds of Tibetans whereabouts are missing and unknown according to Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy based in Dharamsala, India.
