The Tibetan Association of Washington is pleased to host the Annual Tibetan West-Coast Trungkar Picnic this year in Bothell, a surburban area about 20 minutes north-east from Downtown Seattle. The picnic returns after a gap of a few years. The importance of this annual picnic tradition that began over two decades ago brings Tibetans from all along the US West Coast together to celebrate His Holiness The Dalai Lama’s Birthday during this weekend in July. Tibetan Language and Cultural School (TLCS) is a community supported program dedicated to teaching our children the language, culture, music and dance of Tibet. It is a project of the Tibetan Association of Washington (TAW), guided by a volunteer Parent Steering Committee. The Board of TAW provides oversight over TLCC functions .
Renew or become new TAW member, open to anyone interested in joining the Tibetan Association of Washington. Aside from grants and donations, membership dues help us run all the programs listed in our annual calendar in addition to the building of our community center, the Norling Center.
