Come one. Come all. Our Annual Tibet Fest, a free event, highlights the cultural roots and influences of Tibet. The festival features visual arts, hands-on activities, foods, games, a marketplace, group dances, artwork, and discussions. There also will be handmade arts and crafts, prayer flags, children’s activities and traditional food. Meet local Tibetans and reminisce/talk to them about your travels to Nepal, India and Tibet.. The Tibetan Association of Washington is pleased to host the Annual Tibetan West-Coast Trungkar Picnic this year in Bothell, a surburban area about 20 minutes north-east from Downtown Seattle. Let’s Talk in Tibetan is an online contest hosted by The Tibet Fund in partnership with the Office of Tibet, Washington, DC inviting all young Tibetans ages 6 to 18 residing in North America to showcase their Tibetan language skills and fluency. The preservation of the Tibetan language among the young generation in the diaspora community is important to keep alive the Tibetan identity and culture. The contest involves the participants to record a 3-4 minute casual conversation in Tibetan with an adult or parent and upload to YouTube.
