Let’s Talk in Tibetan is an online contest hosted by The Tibet Fund in partnership with the Office of Tibet, Washington, DC inviting all young Tibetans ages 6 to 18 residing in North America to showcase their Tibetan language skills and fluency. The preservation of the Tibetan language among the young generation in the diaspora community is important to keep alive the Tibetan identity and culture. The contest involves the participants to record a 3-4 minute casual conversation in Tibetan with an adult or parent and upload to YouTube. Tenzin Rigdol, a leading Tibetan contemporary artist will be coming to Seattle on March 10th. Please save the date.

Join us for a screening of the critically acclaimed film, “Bringing Tibet Home” and a conversation with Tenzing Rigdol, a leading Tibetan contemporary artist and founder of STUDIO 59 and Dialogue Artist Residency. He will discuss the launch of an exciting new project, the first residency program for Tibetan contemporary artists living in exile. The event will also include a benefit sale of Rigdol’s artworks to raise funds for the residency.
