Tibetan West-Coast Trungkar Picnic 2018
Welcome!
The Tibetan Association of Washington is pleased to host the Annual Tibetan West-Coast Trungkar Picnic this year in Bothell, a surburban area about 20 minutes north-east from Downtown Seattle.
The picnic returns after a gap of a few years. The importance of this annual picnic tradition that began over two decades ago brings Tibetans from all along the US West Coast together to celebrate His Holiness The Dalai Lama’s Birthday during this weekend in July. It is a unique opportunity for Tibetans to come together, young and old, to unite, connect and engage through various sporting activities, cultural shows and socio-political discussions. This is also a great time for old friends and families to connect and catch-up.
The Tibetan Association of Washington has made it a priority this year to mark down the price of the ticket to the Trungkar Picnic significantly so as to encourage participation and make it more affordable.
The $100 entry ticket includes access to all the sporting activities, boxed lunches on all three days and dinner on Friday and Saturday. Online registration is now open, click here or on the Tibetan West Coast Picnic tab on the upper right corner of this website.
We look forward to welcoming you and hosting a successful and fun Trungkar picnic.
